Eat Chocolate and a Quick Tutorial

Here is a card that I made using Eat Chocolate. The colors are Very Vanilla, Pretty in Pink, and Early Expresso. It is a CASE of a swap I received.

I originally was going to make it as one of my swaps for the Minneapolis Regionals, but I ran out of time with all the favors I had to made. At first, I thought I was crazy for attempting to cut out all those cupcakes, but I came up with a little trick to cut them out fast. So as promised yesterday, here is how I did it.

First I colored the cupcakes as desired and stamped. Since I was only using Pretty in Pink and Early Expresso here, I inked the image up in Pretty in Pink and then took my Early Expresso and colored over the portions that I wanted Early Expresso. Note, this would not work for the cupcakes I showed yesterday. I  then took my 1/2" circle punch and punched out each cupcake, making sure the top of the cupcake lined up with the punch. I hope you can see this is the picture below. Apparently I'm not very good at taking pictures of myself trying to work, sorry about the blurriness.

Then, I took my paper snips and made three straight cuts. One along each side and one along the bottom.

And you then have your cupcake all cut out and can adhere to your project as desired.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you found that quick tutorial helpful.

DCBC

I'm back, kind of. Sorry I took such a long leave of absence. I've had so much going on this past week that I barely had time to breathe. On Thursday, I was asked to make 350 favors for the boutique that I'm selling my cards at. They were due yesterday. I got about 275 of them done, but that was enough. Anyways, onto today's scheduled program, it's time for the Diva Coffee Break Challenge. This week it's a sketch and here it is.

And here is my creation. I rotated the sketch and used Bliss. The colors are directly from the Color Coach and are Pear Pizzazz, Tempting Turquoise, Rich Razzleberry, and Whisper White.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to stop by the homepage to add your own creation. One more week and I'll be back more permanently.

Sketch Frenzy Friday

Its Friday so that means its sketch frenzy Friday. As you probably have noticed, I have had a lot going on and haven't been very good at updating my blog. Well today is no different, I got called put of town last minute so didn't have time to post this weeks sketch, much less create one. I hope to have it posted later this afternoon. Sorry, but in the meantime be sure to check out the homepage to add your own creation.

CASEs of Myself

I actually have a share for you on a non-challenge day. Okay, so it's only two CASEs of myself. I had to make some cards quick for a swap that I angelled for so I just ended up changing up the colors and/or DSP on two cards I shared with you previously.  The first one can originally be found here. And here is the new one. I changed out the colors and used Real Red instead of Melon Mambo. I used Button, Button, Tiny Tags, and So Many Thanks.

And here is the second one. Again, the original can be seen here. This time I changed out the DSP. The stamp set is Valentine Defined.

Thanks for stopping by and tomorrow I have a new creation using the sketch for Sketch Frenzy!
