Sketch Frenzy Friday!

Wow, where did the week go? I'm so sorry that I haven't updated my blog since Monday! I've been so busy trying to design and then mass produce my swaps for convention that I haven't really created any new cards. I will be scheduling my swaps to be posted while I'm at convention, so I don't spoil the surprise for those of you actually there. Anyways, I digress. It's Friday, so that means it Sketch Frenzy! First, here is the sketch.

And here is my card. This is not at all what I imaged when I first started, but I think I like the outcome. I used Cute by the Inch, Dot, Dot, Dot, and Apple Blossoms. The colors are Cherry Cobbler, Early Expresso, and Whisper White. The layer directly behind the small square isn't what you probably think it is. I'm guessing you're thinking is the new punch that Stampin' Up! released to go with this set. Well, no I haven't ordered that one yet (though now I'm kind of wishing that I did), so I improvised by using 1" circles and layering them behind the image.

10 Minute Challenge

Here is a card that I whipped up last night to mail today, along with a RAK. And again, it's purple. I used left over butterflies from the card that I posted yesterday, which were purple, so I didn't have much choice, did I? The challenge is a flower challenge with a sketch and it just so happens, my card fits the sketch, just not the flower part.

Anyways, I used Dot, Dot, Dot and Whimsical Words stamp sets. The colors are Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, and Whisper White. And again, totally CASED.

More purple to come tomorrow!

Let It Snow!

Today's post I'm taking a break from SAB and the Occassions Mini (for the most part). Sometimes I forget that I have other stamps and supplies to play with too :o) Anyways, I'm part of a group where every month we sent 1 card to someone based on the monthly theme. January's theme is snow. This is the card that I made. I used the Big Shot and Snowflake die and cut two snowflakes out of pop cans. The other colors are Green Galore, Tempting Turquoise, and Whisper White. I also used Kaleidoscope DSP. I did use one stamp from the new Occassions Mini, Dot, Dot, Dot, and Teeny Tiny Wishes from the big catalog.
