Mojo Monday and LNS Challenge

Happy Memorial Day! Hope everyone is having a safe and fun weekend. Today I have one card for two different challenges. I have not been very good participating in challenges lately. Even more unbelievable, I'm participating on the day they have been released. The first challenge is LNS Challenge, which was a color challenge. The colors are Night of Navy, Bordering Blue, and So Saffron. The next challenge is Mojo Monday. Here is their sketch:

I chose the square and here is my card.

The stamp sets are Party Hearty and Birthday Block. The DSP is from the Print Patterns Pack III.

It's Sketch Frenzy Friday Again

It's that time again. I have a new sketch and my interpretation of it to show you. First, here is the sketch.

And here is my card. I was a little more liberal in my adaptation of it this week. First of all I flipped it horizontally and then I added an image, and used the scalloped border instead of ribbon and eyelets. I hope you can still see the sketch in it though. I used Watercolor Trio as my stamp set and Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede and Whisper White as my colors. The DSP is the Print Patterns.

Now it's time to check out the other members' interpretations of this sketch. Check out their blogs (the links on on my side bar). And add a comment with a link to your interpretation, there might be some blog candy in order for those that participate (hint, hint).

Hey Mr Big Shot!

The only requirements for this swap was using the Big Shot. I used the Big Shot on four different things, the Lattice Die, an Impressionz Folder, Beautiful Butterflies Die, and Beautiful Wing Embosslit. Colors are Bashful Blue, Rose Red, Kraft, and Very Vanilla. The image on the large butterfly is from Elements of Style.

Thank you! And don't forget that tomorrow is Sketch Frenzy Friday!

Blog Candy from Royal Blog Tour

I had a question regarding my blog candy from the Royal Blog Tour and if I have announced it. I never did announce it on my blog, but it should have been on the Royal Blog Tour Blog. Anyways, the winner was Renee and we have been in contact.

Congratulations Renee!

Medallion Card

Here is a card I created for a wedding card swap. The colors are much brighter in real life, but they are Basic Gray, Basic Black, Whisper White, and Tempting Turquoise. The Temption Turquoise really pops in real life. I used the Medallion stamp and the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

As always, thanks for stopping by!

Butterflies, Butterflies, and more Butterflies

Look at all those butterflies! All created with the Big Shot and the Beautiful Wings Embosslit. Now what would a person need with so many butterflies? To make cards! I had to create a card that had 10 of something on it to celebrate VC Rocks 10th anniversary. Well you guessed it, I used 10 butterflies. And here is the final product. Colors are Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay Soft Suede, and Kraft. The sentiments is from Watercolor Trio. Do you see all 10 butterflies?

Thanks for looking!

All About the Animals Share

I made this card as part of a swap that was themed animals. The only requirement was that the card needed to have an animal on it. I choose to make a baby card using Nursery Necessities. Colors are Crushed Curry, Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo and Dusty Durango. The DSP is Razzleberry Lemonade.

Last Pedaling Past

For a bit at least. This is the final card that originally intented to be in the make and take I was talking about for the fundraiser on Friday. I ran out of time and did not get them all prepped, nor did I get a box designed, so I decided not to do it there. We did still make the card from Friday's post. I think I will be doing a class with this stamp set and the cards that I have designed to go with it and have the proceeds go to JDRF, more details to come later.

Anyways, this card uses To the Nines DSP and the colors are Sage Shadow, Handsome Hunter and Sahara Sand.

Another Pedaling Past

Here is the third card in the card set that I'm selling to raise money for JDRF. Colors are So Saffron, Old Olive, and Whisper White. The DSP is Island Oasis.

One more card tomorrow and then on Monday I will be showing the case for it. Remember, any proceeds made from purchasing this stamp set from me will be donated.

Pedaling Past

First a quick note, yesterday's post did not post as scheduled, but it is there now for you to check out below this post.

Now on to stamping. Over the next several days, I will be showcasing Pedaling Past, it is a stamp set in the new Summer Mini. Tomorrow, I'm helping with a fundraiser for JDRF. My friend's son has been recently diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and this summer they will be participating in the Ride for the Cure. They will be doing the 60 mile bike ride. To help raise money, they are holding crops and tomorrow is the first one. I'm doing the make and take (sample will be shown tomorrow as part of the debut of Sketch Frenzy Friday) and offering the option to make a set of cards using Pedaling Past. Today's share is one of the cards for the set. To help them raise money, for every Pedaling Past stamp set I sell, I will be donating my 20% income. If you're interested in helping, please order from my website, the link is on the sidebar.

The colors of this card are Whisper White, Night of Navy, Kraft, and Chocolate Chip. The DSP is from Patterns Pack III (hostess set).

Thanks for stopping by! Join me tomorrow to see the first ever sketch and my interpretation of it for Sketch Frenzy Friday!

Ebony and Ivory

Here is a black and white card that I made for an Ebony and Ivory swap. I used Basic Black and Whipser White with Fifth Avenue Floral. Pretty basic, but elegant (at least that's my opinion).

Again, thanks for stopping by!

It's a Baby Card Share!

This is another card that I CASED from Jan Tink, though mine turned out more different from her's this time. The color combo, is not one that I would use on my own and I kind of like it. It's Bermuda Bay, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, Lavendar Lace and Whisper White. The stamp set is Nursery Necessities.

Hope everyone joined the first VC Rocks blog tour. There will be more in the feature too. Today's share and a birthday card that I made for another swap. I used Bold Brights, so you might want your sunglasses to view. The stamp set was Party Hearty and the colors are Brilliant Blue, Yoyo Yellow, Real Red, and Whisper White.

VC Rocks Blog Hop

Welcome to the first VC Rocks Blog Hop. If you came from Lori's blog, you're on the right track. If you started here, don't worry you can follow the blogs and it will bring you full circle.

Today I am showing yet another card that I created for a swap using Island Oasis DSP. I tried to show as many different patterns of the paper as possible, while still making it reasonable to reproduce. I came up with the pinwheel design. This is NOT my original design and there are many other tutorials out there for this, but this is what I did.

Supplies:
1 1/4" square punch
Word Window Punch
Build a Brad
3/4" circle punch
Cardstock  (Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red)
DSP (Island Oasis)
Ink (Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red)
Tropical Party Stamp Set
Pocket Sillouettes (sentiment)

Directions:
1. Cut two 2 5/8" squares out of Rose Red cardstock
2. Fold both squares in half both ways and along the diagonals to find the centers.
3. Align the squares so the score lines on one of the squares folded in half line up with the score lines on the other square along the diagonal and the centers are on top of each other.
4. Punch four 1 1/4" squares out of one design of DSP and four more out of another design of DSP.
5. Start layering the squares on top of the base you created in step 3, alternating DSP designs. The last square will need to be tucked under the first square to finish the pinwheel look.
6. Punch out 3/4" circle out of another design of DSP and assemble the Build a Brad.
7. Put the Build a Brad in the center of your now completed pinwheel.
8. Finish the card as desired. I used Island Party to add a subtle design to the Pumpkin Pie cardstock and the word window punch to display my greeting on the Rose Red cardstock.

Hope you enjoyed this stop and now you are on your way to see the beautiful creation of Ellen Kemper here.

Jan Tink CASE

Here is another card I made for a swap where I CASED Jan Tink. Her card can be seen here and as I looked at her's again, mine is pretty much an exact CASE, sans brads and ribbon color change up. The colors are Melon Mambo, Garden Green, Certain Celery, Crushed Curry, and Whisper White. The colors are hard to distinguish in my picture, but the base is Crushed Curry, along with the ribbon. The stamp set is Watercolor Trio

Stay tuned tomorrow, as I will be participating in the first VC Rocks blog hog with a tutorial.

Catalog CASE

Again, sorry for the late post. That darn day job that keeps me from stamping, blurfing, blogging and all the other fun stuff!  Well, I guess something has to pay for the habit, right? Anyways, this is a card that I did for a CASE the catalog swap. This was actually harder than I thought it would be. I had a hard time finding a card that I liked, was willing to mass produce, and then had all the stuff for it. The one I finally chose is on page 139 of the IBC and I actually had to change out the DSP used, but I believe the DSP I used from was the same set, just a different pattern. So the stamp set is Three Little Words, colors are Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, and Whisper White. DSP is Cottage Wall.

Thanks!

New Core Colors Share

Here is another card that I made for a swap using the new core colors. They are Early Expresso, Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler, and Cajun Craze. The punch is one of the itty bitty bit punches, the button is one of the itty bitty buttons, and the letters are Rough Type, all from the Summer Mini. The other colors are Whisper White, Basic Gray, and Basic Black.

Thanks!

Kid Birthday CASE

First of all, thank you everyone for your kind words yesterday when I was feeling sad, I really appreciate it. But there's nothing stampin' can't fix, right? Today's share is a shameless CASE of a card by Mary Jo Price-Williams that can be seen here. I appologize for the horrible picture of the card. It's hard to tell the quality of the picture until I actually download the picture, which is usually right before I post it. Anyways, I used Tall Tales DSP and On Your Birthday, first time I broke into both of them. The colors are Brilliant Blue, Whisper White, and Chocolate Chip.

Tropical Party Share

Sorry again for the late post. I just got back from dropping off TC at the SD Armory for him to fly out to Fort Hood for six weeks of training and then around a year in Afghanistan. It feels like he just got back and now he's already gone. I'm already sad and lonely. I'm hoping I can go see him the beginning of June when he has pass. If anyone knows of any good flight details, let me know!

Anyways, back to the regularly scheduled program - stamping! Today's share is a swap I CASED from another swap that I received and the produced for an All About Men swap. I used Tropical Party and the square lattice embossing folder from the Summer Mini. The colors are Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, and Basic Black.

New Color Collection - Bold Brights

Sorry this is later than usual, but I was at a meeting with my upline and we made this cool make and take, which features a new color collection - the bold brights.  The colors include Regal Rose, Rose Red, Rich Razzleberry, Pacific Point, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Delightful Daffodil, Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, and Real Red. The saying is from Best Wishes & More.

Thanks!

Sweet Presto Patterns

Today's share uses Sweet Scoops and the Presto Pattern DSP, both from the Summer mini. For the Presto Pattern DSP, I used a sponge and sponged Bashful Blue and Chocolate Chip randomly. Since Chocolate Chip is a much more dominant color than Bashful Blue, be sure to start light with it. I also used the Itty Bitty Bit punch. Colors are Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White.

Tropical Share

Today's share features a few things from the new Summer Mini. These items are Island Oasis DSP, Tropical Party stamp set, Itty Bitty Bits punch, and Lattice Square Impressions plate. The colors are Temptin Turquoise, Whisper White, So Saffron, Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive.

Itty Bitty Share

A quick share today as I don't have a lot of time to write this up, but I did want to post something today. Still trying to post once a day again. This card I made for a swap and it uses some of the retiring colors: Almost Amethyst, Blush Blossom, and Apricot Appeal. I used Certainly Celery for the base, but that color is staying. The set is Itty Bitty Bits from the new Summer Mini, along with Sincere Salutations for the sentiment. The squares are 1" and circle punch is 3/4".

Thanks!

Thanks for all the nice comments and making the Royal Blog Tour such a success! I hope you enjoyed all the stops along the way. Later today I will be drawing for my blog candy and will notify the winner. With their permission, I will announce it on my blog too. Today I thought I'd share with you another card made with Circle Circus that didn't make the cut for the tour. The colors are Basic Gray, Basic Black, Whisper White and Going Gray. The sentitment is from Thank You Kindly.

Thanks again!
