The Old Meets the New
Welcome to this week's Diva Coffee Break Challenge. This week it's a color combo challenge and here it is.
Given the color combo, it was really hard not to make a Christmas card, but I promised that Wednesdays and Fridays were you're days off of Christmas cards, so I tried to compromise. I still used some of the new sneak peak items, didn't specifically make it a Christmas card, but did use some DSP from the Holiday Mini. The sentiment is from Clearly For You.

Paisley Prints Gift Card Holder
Here is a card that I CASED that doubles as a gift card holder. The stamp sets used are Paisley Prints, Paisley Party Wheel and Teeny Tiny Wishes. The colors are Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride, Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White.
And now, for the gift card holder part. Here is the card opened up and what it looks like from the inside.
Pretty clever huh? I've found that before you fold the front of the card in half, you use the window punch to create the slot by inserting the paper all the way into the punch (old-style).
Thanks for stopping by! Only one more week of Christmas cards left, so that really means only four more!

Let It Snow!
This card might have been more appropriate for last week, when we got almost two feet of snow. Hopefully, this weekend is going to be dry, but I think we're in for more snow on Monday. Anyways, I digress...today's share uses Season of Friendship and Snow Swirled and is of course a CASE. The colors are Pacific Point, Whisper White, and Early Expresso.
Thanks for stopping by. Tomorrow I have a Christmas card that doubles as a gift card holder too.

And here is my creation. As promised, I used some of the the new stuff from the Occasions mini. The stamp set is Style Beautiful and is actually in the main catalog. The colors are Pear Pizzazz, Baja Breeze, and Whisper White. As I'm posting this, I just realized that I didn't tile the background colors as they are in the sketch -- oops!

Christmas Shares
So I was going through the Christmas cards that I have pictures of and haven't shared yet. Last year at this time I pretty much stopped sharing Christmas cards, but this year I have decided to share Christmas cards through Christmas. The two days a week that I participate in design teams will NOT be Christmas themed and I will try to incorporate the sneak peak items from the Occasions mini. I have too many Christmas cards for the amount of days I'm sharing them, so a couple days, there will be more than one.
Okay, now on to today's share, which of course is a Christmas card. For this card, I used Delightful Decorations and Contempo Christmas. The colors are Baja Breeze and Whisper White.
Thanks for stopping by and stop by tomorrow for another Christmas card share!

Sketch Frenzy Friday and a Sneak Peak
It's Friday so that means it's Sketch Frenzy Friday. Today's sketch is brought to you from Sharon. And here is her sketch.
For my creation, I decided to use several items from the new Occasions mini. The colors are Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz, Pretty in Pink, and Daffodil Delight. The stamp set are Build a Blossom and Teeny Tiny Wishes. I used four other accessories from the catalog too. Can you find them?
Don't forget to check out our homepage to see a list of all the participants and to add your own creation. Thanks for stopping by!

Diva Coffee Break Challenge
It's Wednesday, so that means that it's the Diva Coffee Break Challenge. But first, let me announce my blog candy winner - Jenni Sylvia! Congratulations Jenni, I have sent you an email for your information. I am sad to say that Tricia at Tricia's Space was the original winner, but as I warned, I was unable to easily locate any contact information. Tricia, if you're reading this, please contact me and I will see if I can find a consolation prize for you.
Okay, now back to the Divas. This week is a color challenge, and here are the colors.
And here is my card, using Paisley Prints and Word Play. I have to admit that I have had this done for a while, but decided to save it for this challenge. See, I misread the challenge numbers, or something, and did this two color challenges ago to find out, they were the wrong colors when I went to post my creation on the homepage. So back to the drawing board I went. Anyway, here is my creation.
Thanks for stopping by and baring with all my chatter today. Don't forget to check out the homepage for the other creations and to add your own.

Thrinchie Share
Sorry for not posting yesterday, but I wanted to give everyone an extra day to win my blog candy. The entry for blog candy is now officially closed. I will be picking my winner shortly and will announce it tomorrow with my Diva Coffee Break Design Team share. Thanks for all your wonderful comments. I will be putting together a tutorial soon.
Today's share is a thrinchie and then the thrinchie placed on a card. What is a thrinchie? A thrinchie is a 3 x 3 card often used like trading cards. I belong to a local scrapbook group that has monthly challenges (I've shared others in the past) and one month's challenge was to make a thrinchie for everyone. Well of course I'm about 3 months late, but this is what I created. And then of course I forgot them at home. Anyways, I used Vintage Vogue and the Very Vintage wheel. The colors are Concord Crush, Crumb Cake, Basic Black and Whisper White.
Don't forget to stop by tomorrow for the blog candy winner and the Diva Coffee Break Challenge.

It's Here!
Finally, it's here, the final reveal of the full project. Someone of you might think what is the big deal, but for me it was a big accomplishment. And I know there are plenty of others that could have come up with it in hours, not days. I originally saw the idea on SCS, but a tutorial wasn't available, so I recreated it on my own. Anyways, all the Circle Circus cards were created to be part of this:
So what exactly is an Emergency Card Kit? It contains the six cards that you have been looking at all week. If you noticed, none of the cards at sentiments attached to it and that's because the person giving the card chooses what sentiment to put on it. So the inside looks like this, with 12 different sentiments for them to choose. They just peel of the inside of the folder and they will have exposed dimensionals on the back to adhere the card. See the picture below.
So the whole set put together, looks like this.
So what do you think? Well, it's time for the blog candy. One lucky reader will get the above kit to use for themselves or give to someone else as a gift. Would anyone be interested in purchasing a tutorial for this? Leave me a comment, letting me know what you think and if you would be interested in purchasing a tutorial for a chance to win this kit! The blog candy will be open for as long as this post is the first post (approximately through Monday morning). Don't forget to be sure to leave a way for me to contact you if you're the winner. If you don't, you may lose your eligibility for the candy.

Sketch Frenzy Friday
Today's sketch is one that I created. It's very simple, I have trouble designing sketches, so that's how mine tend to be. So here it is.
And here is my creation. The colors are Bashful Blue, Pear Pizzaz, Blushing Bride, and Whisper White. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.
Tomorrow is the reveal of my project and the start of blog candy, so don't forget to stop back. Now it's time to check out the homepage to continue on with the tour and add your creation.

Diva Coffee Break Sketch
Today is the Diva Coffee Break sketch challenge. I have two cards created with it, PLUS a sneak peak from the Occasions Mini available in January. First, here is the sketch.
And here is my first creation, that is on the Diva's homepage and features a stamp set from the new Occasions mini, Button, Button. The other stamp sets I used were Tiny Tags, and So Many Thanks. The colors are Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, and Whisper White.
And as an added bonus, I have another card for. This card uses French Foliage and Word Play and has almost the opposite effect that my first card does. The first card reminds me of spring and this card is definitely a fall/winter card. The colors are Early Expresso, Tangerine Tango, Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White. I actually stamped the leaves on the base of the card a while ago for something else that I didn't finish and found it laying on my desk and finished it off for this challenge.
Hope you enjoyed my shares (and the break from Circle Circus) and be sure to check out the other Diva's creations and add your own here. Thanks for stopping by!

Circle Circus - Day 4
Only two more days after today. But remember Wednesday and Friday posts are already taken by the design posts, so the final reveal won't be until Saturday. I think it's worth the wait though. This is Circle Circus in Pacific Point, Old Olive, Early Expresso, and Whisper White.

Circle Circus, Day 3
Here is another Circle Circus card using the same colors. Are you getting the same sense that I am and that there is going to be a box set made with these? If so, you are correct, but it's not just any box set. You will just have to be patient and see what kind of set. There are six cards total, so you have to wait...you will be rewarded...maybe with some blog candy (hint, hint, hint). Until then, here is today's share.

Sketch Frenzy Friday
Hope you found all those good specials and are now able to settle in a check out all the Sketch Frenzy Friday creations! The sketch this week is brought to us by Tammy. And here it is.
And here is my creation. I used Circle Circus. The colors are Pacific Point, Early Expresso, Old Olive, and Whisper White. You will notice it's missing a sentiment. There is a good reason for that and you will find out why early next week.
The next stop on your way is the home page where you can add your own creation. Thanks for stopping by!
