Nursery Necessities for a Boy

Continuing with the featured stamp set this week, Nursery Necessities, I thought I'd change it up and show an example for a boy this time. Cardstock used is Ballet Blue, Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White. Ink used was Ballet Blue and Chocolate Chip. It's a little hard to tell, but the ribbon is wrapped around stamped Ballet Blue piece horizontally and threaded through a small hole in the star.

Featured Stamp Set - Nursery Necessities

I know I said it would be another Last Chance stamp set, but I spent the weekend catching up on swaps that I have due and did not have time to stamp anything with my Last Chance Stamps. Next weekend I have a wedding to attend, so hopefully I will get a chance to this week for next week's featured set. That being said, this week's set is Nursery Necessities. When I first bought this set I had no idea how versatile it was and how much I would actually use it. This first sample is for a baby girl, but could easily be made for a baby boy with some color changes. The cardstock is Cameo Coral, Ruby Red, So Saffron, and Whisper White. Ink used: So Saffron, Ruby Red, and Versamark. Accessories: Embossing Powder, punches, brad, and Texturz plate.

Last Big Flowers Example

Not much has to be said about this sample. Uses pretty much the same things as the last 2 examples. Stay tuned next week for another Last Change set feature.

Fabulous Blogs

Check out these blogs! There are all people that have been "hired" by Sherrill Graff (the list mom to LNS). Which means they have awesome samples! So check them out for wonderful ideas.

Big Flowers Example 2

Here is a second example showcasing Big Flowers. This one also uses Sweet Serendity (also on the Last Change list). The colors used are again In Colors, as I designed them this past weekend and I brought very limited non In Color supplies.

Featured Stamp Set

This is the first week I'm going to try to feature a stamp set and since it's the last chance season, I will be hopefully featuring last chance sets this month. I'm also typing on my new netbook, which is very small and I'm still adjusting to, so please forgive the typos. I also took the picture with the webcam, so please let me know if the quality of the picture is too poor. The first set is Big Flowers. One of my sets that is on the last chance list that I haven't mounted. Also featured are the in colors. This first card uses only Big Flowers stamp set, Whsper White, Tango Tangerine, and Pacific Point cardstock, and Tango Tangerine Striped Ribbon. Stay tuned tomorrow night for another sample.

More Swap Samples

Here are a couple more samples that I made for SCS swaps. Like I said, I'm going a little swap crazy here. I'm trying to make up for the fact that I'm not going to Convention this year and will be missing out on the swaps for examples. The first one is a wedding shower card using Goody Goody Gumdrops and Very Versatile, Walk in the Park DSP, Baja Breeze, Whisper White, and Basic Gray cardstock, Baja Breeze and Basic Gray ink, and white organza ribbon.

My second one to share is a Halloween card. I was trying to help the host fill the swap and this was one of the spots, but I don't have any Halloween stamps. I don't usually send Halloween cards, so I CASED this from somewhere. It uses the circle punches and Top Note die. The cardstock is Elegant Eggplant, Always Artichoke, Basic Black, and Whisper White. I also used a dabber and ink the ink up the eyelids and nose.

Another LNS Challenge - Embossing

This week's challenging is embossing of any kind. It also just happens that I just finished up a couple of swap samples for a Trio of Textures challenge. This required three different textures on the card. The first one I did used textured cardstock, texturz plate and crystal effects. I also used this card as a baby girl card in another swap. The stamp set is Nursery Necessities. Paper and ink are So Saffron, Cameo Coral and Rose Red.

The second sample uses the Manhattan Embossing plate, Texturz plate, and crystal effects. Paper is Bella Rose DSP, Riding Hood Red, Pink Piroquette, and Whisper White. Also used is the white organza ribbon, Top Note die, and circle punches. The Stamp Set is Love You Much.

I am going out of town this weekend and I don't know if I will have internet access, so there might not be any more updates the rest of this week. Next week I think I'm going to try something new and feature a stamp set each week. We'll see how that goes.
